SEO Elite Review
Today we're taking a look at the SEO Elite, the search engine optimization software that some say, is the
"granddaddy of all the SEO software."
Grandparents are supposed to be smart and wise, so let's see if this senior exhibits some brainpower like its younger siblings do.
What is SEO Elite?
The promise behind SEO Elite is that it reveals the linking structures of any of your competitor's Web sites. If you know how other's are getting their sites to the top of search engines, then by copying them, and doing a bit better, will get you the top as well.
SEO Elite is essentially an analysis tool. This means that you, yes, YOU, have to do the thinking. In other words, the utility of this piece of software is directly proportional to your analytical skills. Keep that in mind when you read the sales page of SEO Elite.
One good thing, though, is that there's an active forum of users, so if you get stuck or need ideas, you have a place to turn to. (We've also heard that Brad Callen, the guy behind SEO Elite, takes the time to answer emails as well).
What do you get with SEO Elite?
You can analyze backlinks (sites linking to a particular site/page) as reported by the major search engines. The program will show you what the link text is that links to the page you're analyzing.
For each link you get to see the IP address, the PageRank, and the Alexa Rank of the website. You can also find out the Page Title of the linking page as well as how many outbound links the page has, and how many total links the page has.
Another neat tool that SEO Elite brings to the table is the link partner finding tool. You set the criteria of the partners, like what their PageRank must be, or if they link to your competitor. SEO Elite goes to work, and once you have a list of candidates, the software will send each of them an email.
The email text can be modified and saved in templates that are then used to make up the email to your potential list partners. You can include the name and the website URL of the candidate in your email as well. A quick note here: generally, this is called spamming. Keep that in mind.
You can also check that your existing link partners are still linking back. Simply tell the program where the link should point to, and SEO Elite scans the sites and notifies you if the link back to you is missing.
With SEO Elite you can also analyse allinanchor, allintitle or allintext.
The Google allinanchor command finds pages that have the keywords somewhere in the links to the page.
The allintext shows websites with the specified keyword in the body of the webpage.
Likewise, allintitle shows websites the specified keyword in the title of the webpage.
With this you get a good understanding of the link structure of the page you're looking at.
There's more to SEO
Now, understanding and replicating winning link structures used to be the key to land on the top of the search results.
However, the current search algorithms are placing more value on the website age and usage and less on linking. But that does not mean that proper linking is not important anymore. It just that as search engines continue to evolve, so should your search engine optimization practices evolve.
There are more features to SEO Elite than listed here, like the ability to automatically submit links to those sites that have set up link submission forms, and generate reports on top 10 highest ranking sites for particular keywords.
Here's an interesting thing: you CAN do all that SEO Elite does for free but not from one place. So whether the convenience is worth the price, is for you to decide.
Hopefully, SEO Elite will get you started in the SEO game, and we hope that the software will be kept up-to-date with all the new changes that happen literally every day.
Conclusion
To summarize: You get a solid product with a nice user support forum. But it's not a magic bullet. You gotta learn the software and use your brains to get the most out of SEO Elite.
